Community Drawing

El Paseo Garden is excited to offer our first outdoor adult drawing class this summer! Drawing outside offers a way to unplug, discover the garden, and use direct observation to express what inspires you in the moment. We often pass by incredible forms in nature without taking the time to notice, reflect, and appreciate the wonders of public green space in our community.

This class will provide participants an opportunity to explore approaches to drawing outdoors led by weekly prompts. We will focus on local plant and wildlife (and beyond) at El Paseo while learning about basic approaches to observational drawing. Types of outdoor activities will include: walking, looking, sitting, drawing with wet and dry media, journaling, sharing and connecting with other members of the community, and engaging with wildlife apps.
