One of the grant based projects for 2019 is our nature-play inspired outdoor classroom and shed: The Hive. The shed is designed to resemble a langstroth hive.

El Paseo Community Garden is partnering with Human Scale, a non-profit started by a group of UIC Architecture Students to design and construct the project. This project has been made possible through a grant by the Epstein Foundation. This outdoor classroom (and mini cafe) will house our Kids Garden Days program made possible through Cafe Bustelo.
