With support from our 25th Ward Alderman and land trust NeighborSpace we received approval for Open Space Impact Fees to fund the development of our lot. We’re thrilled to relaunch the engagement and design process that began in 2020 and 2021. Since then, we’ve already integrated valuable community feedback into the physical site and into our newest design concepts. Now, we’re inviting you to help shape what comes next!

As we envision the next phase, we’d love your input on specific areas like:
Nature play and creative exploration
A potential dog run
Fitness and movement spaces
Open green areas for gatherings
A stage pavilion for performances and events (in partnership with the Pilsen Latinas Monument Project)
Please fill out this survey to share your comments on our revised comment. Please note this is still not a final concept.
Please Note: El Paseo Community Garden and the Dog Run “El Pawseo” is a community-managed space maintained by volunteers and donations. The land is owned by the non-profit community land trust, NeighborSpace.
As we shape the design, we’re thinking not just about beauty, but about durability, maintenance, and how volunteers will care for this space over time. Your input now helps us choose materials that feel good, last long, and honor the rhythms of community stewardship.
